About Us

LAC Consilium Limited was founded in May 2008 and has since assisted a number of companies and in particular, their directors in matters relating to employees and the use of company vehicles for business purposes.

The most recent was a company director from West London who received a summons from a Central London Magistrates' court to attend and answer to a number of charges as a direct result of an employee.

The employee was involved in a road-related incident some months previous that involved a company motor vehicle being used for business purposes and the police - the vehicle was found to be un-roadworthy through dangerous condition. The police revoked the MoT as a direct result. Despite the necessary instructions from the police and documentation served, the employee failed to notify the company director and hand-over the documentation.

LAC Consilium Limited identified numerous flaws, nevertheless, advised, assisted and supported the company - and through knowledge, understanding and experience liaised direct with the Crown Prosecution Service challenging their evidence. The case was dropped minutes prior to the trial.

The company director faced a fine and court costs, and a driving licence endorsement, more than what the actual driver received in the first instance and as a direct result of failing to recognise the necessity and importance of effective risk management strategies.
